StateOwner

Struct StateOwner

Source
pub struct StateOwner(/* private fields */);
Expand description

Owns reactive state for a controller, route, or other explicit UI lifetime.

Clones share the lifetime. Closing the owner, or dropping its final clone, releases its state. Cleanup requested from another thread runs on the owning UI session before its next frame.

Implementations§

Source§

impl StateOwner

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Creates an owner in the current UI session.

Source

pub fn is_alive(&self) -> bool

Returns whether this lifetime still accepts state.

Source

pub fn close(&self)

Closes the lifetime even when other clones still exist.

Source

pub fn dispatcher(&self) -> UiDispatcher

Captures result delivery that stops when this owner closes.

Source

pub fn state_with_key<K, T>(&self, key: K, init: impl FnOnce() -> T) -> State<T>
where K: Hash, T: Send + Sync + 'static,

Gets or initializes reactive state by a key within this lifetime.

Reads and writes use the same build and layout invalidation mechanisms as remembered state. The owning UI thread performs initialization.
